How do I get rid of a stain caused by the blue crystals in oxiclean?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010
suepangi asked:

I always use oxiclean and have never had this happen. I used it on my cream colored shirt to get a stain out. The stain came out, but the blue from the crystals stained it. I have washed it again and the stain has lightened, but it has not gone away completely. Any advice?

Crystal Smith asked:

Crystal Meth is simply methamphetamine, which is very popular among drug users. This is generally crystalline in structure, whose street names are “icy” and “cristy”. This is a very addictive type of drug. Statistics have shown that 42 percent of those who have tried it for the first time feel the need to try it once again. This drug affects the body mentally and physically.

Crystal Meth addiction is an issue that has been plaguing the modern world. It is known as the intense, almost maddening urge to consistently look for a substance at a prolonged period of time. It never ceases, and the need to acquire drug becomes uncontrollable that the person may not be bothered about the physical consequences that it can bring, such as severe sickness and even death.

One sign of Crystal Meth addiction is a patient’s firm belief that he is unable to fully function when he doesn’t take drugs. In the long run, the person takes more than what his body can take and damages his physical and mental conditions. The drug then becomes very addictive, and affects the central nervous system largely. In fact, Crystal Meth triggers physiological conditions faster than any other drug can.

The use of Crystal Meth will make a person distance himself from other people. This alienation will keep him emotionally remote, and thus result to the feeling of depression resulting to manic behavior and irritability. The effects of Crystal Meth generally send out a sense of despair and depression to the user.

Drug usage takes a heavy toll on the physical conditions of the body. These will soon show up and the drug addict will become pale, lose weight, and his appearance will become dull. A user may also start to lose interest on regular hygiene such as taking a bath or combing the hair.

Crystal Meth rehab centers have professionals who can create programs for individual needs. Steps should be taken to revive an addict who has fallen prey to drugs. Since it is almost impossible for the addict himself to treat his addictions, it is the role of Crystal Meth rehabs to correct his life and completely lead him away from this problem.

Most commonly, Crystal Meth addiction treatment programs starts with detoxification. The harmful drug substances that remain inside the body should be washed off, to keep the body from accumulating future diseases. This can be done in a Crystal Meth detox center. Different medicines are used during this process, depending on the severity of the body conditions.

It is never too late to come out of a drug addiction. Detoxification is followed by an aftercare treatment for Crystal Meth dependency, which can help a person renew his life by turning back from past addictions. This is usually done in a residential setting, to completely settle the withdrawal of the patient. This process is done to be able to maintain the abstinence of the patient from drugs. It is also during this process when a person is taught of the exercises and techniques to keep away from drug cravings whenever they occur.

what is the best way to apply swarovski flat back crystals to a skating dress?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010
donna_avon2002 asked:

I purchased a dress and plan to apply Swarovski hot fix crystals as well as flat back crystals. The skirt is chiffon so I do not want to take the chance in burning the fabric with an applicator for hot fix stones so I plan to glue them. The glue needs to be able to withstand the cold and be washed. What do you suggest?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010
jonnycat1991 asked:

Could I use regular super glue? Or is there a special glue for plastic/acrylic? Should I have the acrylic engraved with little shallow hollows to fit the crystals in to make it extra strong?

I am trying to find natural crystals to use as a dehumidifier in my basement. Any suggestions?

Saturday, January 9th, 2010
RB asked:

The electric dehumidifier that I was using was extremely expensive to run (even with an Energy Efficient Rating). Someone suggested natural crystals but an online search shows some expensive alternatives. Anyone try anything new/different to remove moisture from the air?

Paul Shane asked:

Crystal has been used chiefly as jewellery from a very long time. Not just the common people and the ranks, crystal have been worn by kings and queens and people of the royal lineage. Crystal has been very popular with people of different lands and cultures, much like today. Despite frequent usage of crystal in jewellery today, people are still inclined to the old and antique jewellery. People are still buying and wearing different designs of jewellery of the yesteryears.

It is found that crystal was frequently used in different eras and styles of jewellery – Victorian, Edwardian, Jacobean, art deco and art nouveau etc. They are also known as estate antique jewellery. They were quite expensive in those times. However, today they are treasured more for their historic value and super designs, excellent craftsmanship, superior quality, with crystal embedded in them, and their historic value, than for their monetary worth.

The crystal jewellery of the bygone era is popular among women for the touch of elegance and beauty they provided. The most popular crystal jewellery includes necklaces, ear pieces, lavaliere, engagement rings, bracelets, bangles, etc. Crystal was also used to make fantastically designed pendants. In fact, the maximum usage of crystal in those times is found in pendants and ear pieces. Crystal was also worn in head gears and ornaments for the hair.

There is a stark difference in the jewellery of the yesteryears and jewellery of today. The difference lies in the designs and the usage. Today, people are still wearing crystal; however the styles have undergone many changes over time. Although the styles have changed and so have the designs in jewellery, yet the antique crystal jewellery are still quite popular and quite in demand, especially with them who have fine taste in jewellery and epicures of art.

djjjjs2000 asked:

I have a metal and rubber wine cork and today I discovered white crystals forming on the metal piece that sticks into the bottle. What are the white crystals and more importantly, is there a way to get rid of them?
Yes, I use the cork as a temporary stopper after opening the wine. Most of my wine is Californian and not more than 3-4 years old.

One of the best and highly preferred of all jewels is crystal. The exceptional and fantastic beauty of crystal, that evokes a sense of elegance and charm is best captured in a jewellery. And when worn, it gives us a ravishing look that sets all eyes on us. The sparkle and shimmer of crystal brightens up the ambiance around us.

The properties of crystal are such that when a ray of light falls on a piece, the light ray is broken into many parts and thus the light ray gets multiplied. When this happens, there is a sparkling effect, a glow that enlightens the surrounding area. And therefore crystals are great for making jewellery. Stones like Amethyst etc. that are frequently used in jewellery, are basically a form of crystal.

Due to this property of spreading light all around from a single ray of light, crystals are also used for other purposes. People use crystal to make dainty show pieces and decorative items. They are also used for making designer stationery goods like paper weight. Some of the perfume bottles are also made up of crystal. Crystal is very popular as chandelier. Due to their properties, they are frequently used as chandeliers that brighten up a big room or a hall.

Crystal is your key to a radiant look in any occasion. Be it work, be it parties, be it anywhere, you can wear crystals that will lend a touch of brilliance to your entire look and get up. You can wear them on the rings, necklace or anyway you like. They are wonderful as jewellery, but some also like to put crystals in their accessories. For instance, crystal embedded purse or hand bag looks classy and bright. You can also try crystals on your sandals. Crystal studded belts are simply gorgeous and crystal in your dress is also quite a marvelous idea.
